西陣織(にしじんおり)は、京都の西陣地区で生まれた日本を代表する高級絹織物です。金糸や銀糸を使った美しい模様と複雑なデザインが特徴で、全て手作業で丁寧に織り上げられています。帯や着物、インテリア製品などに用いられ、その技術と歴史が評価されて経済産業大臣指定伝統的工芸品や地域団体商標に認定されています。千年以上の歴史を誇り、日本の伝統文化を象徴する工芸品です。

 

Nishijin-ori

Nishijin-ori is a high-quality silk fabric originating from the Nishijin district of Kyoto and is one of Japan’s most renowned traditional crafts. It is characterized by its beautiful patterns and intricate designs, created with gold and silver threads, and is meticulously handwoven. Widely used for obi belts, kimonos, and interior decor items, Nishijin-ori is recognized for its exceptional craftsmanship and rich history. It has been designated as an "Economic Ministry Certified Traditional Craft" and recognized as a regional collective trademark. With a history spanning over 1,000 years, it stands as a symbol of Japan’s traditional culture.
